ART INSTALLATION: Interwoven 

Vaishali Oak and Raju Sutar, two famous scenic artists in India are responsible for the art installation Interwoven.Together with Rainbow Umbrella, Vaishali Oak set up workshops with girls to let them create artworks about their lives. Raju Sutar brings these artworks together in the art installation Interwoven. Raju Sutar: Welcome to Interwoven, a showcase of our collective creativity and shared experiences. This installation weaves together diverse perspectives, merging individual stories into a harmonious visual symphony. As an artist, I believe that art mirrors the complexities of our lives. Each piece in this installation is a fragment of our community, highlighting the beauty of our differences and the strength in our unity. I encourage you to explore each piece and discover your own story within the layers of texture and colour. Observe the interplay of light and shadow, the convergence of forms and ideas. In modern society, our relationship with the community is intricate and often strained. We must address contemporary issues collectively, as divisions exacerbate problems that individuals alone cannot solve. This installation aims to connect with the girls in question and work with them to foster a sense of togetherness. Artist Vaishali Oak has collaborated with the girls to create fabric pieces, and my active participation with the girls in the final installation seeks to bring visibility to this often-overlooked issue and community. In the form of a monumental art installation. Art, ultimately, is a dialogue—one that transcends words and touches the heart.
